Special Meeting of City Council - December 6, 2021

WHAT:            Richmond City Council will hold a special meeting to introduce legislation (i) to endorse the City’s legislative proposals for the 2022 Regular Session of the Virginia General Assembly, (ii) to amend the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 General Fund Budget by transferring $5,000,000.00 from the Non-Departmental agency, “Reserve for Contingencies - First Responder Hazard Pay (ARPA)” line item to a new Non-Departmental agency, “Public Safety Employee COVID-19 Hazard Bonuses” line item to provide one-time bonuses to certain eligible City employees who perform public safety functions, and (iii) to amend section II of the Pay Plan by adding therein a new subsection (D) providing for the payment of one-time bonuses to certain eligible City employees who perform public safety functions.

Public Safety Standing Committee Meeting - November 23, 2021

The Public Safety Standing Committee agenda for the Tuesday, November 23, 2021 meeting is now available on the City’s legislative website by clicking here.

This meeting will be open to in-person participation. To maximize compliance with public health guidance aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19, the public will have the option to provide their comments by teleconference/videoconference via Microsoft Teams, or in writing via email. Interested citizens who wish to take advantage of either option, must do so prior to 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, by calling the Office of the City Clerk at (804) 646-7955 and selecting option 3, or sending comments to CityClerksOffice@rva.gov. All written comments received prior to the deadline will be provided to all members of the Public Safety Standing Committee prior to the beginning of the meeting and will be included in the record of the meeting.
