Public Information Advisory - Special Meeting

WHAT:          Richmond City Council will hold a special meeting to (i) introduce one or more ordinances concerning the approval of Performance Grant agreements for the development and construction of affordable housing, (ii) introduce an ordinance modifying the City’s sound control program, (iii) introduce an ordinance to amend Ord. No. 2024-099, adopted May 13, 2024, which adopted the Gas Utility Budget and made appropriations, thereto, to accept $10,000,000.00 from the United States Department of Transportation, Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration for the repair, rehabilitation, and replacement of natural gas pipelines and equipment, (iv) introduce an ordinance declaring surplus and conveying the City-owned real estate known as 4929 Chamberlayne Avenue to The Virginia League for Planned Parenthood for a health center, (v) introduce an ordinance authorizing the Chief Administrative Officer to execute certain transportation project agreements between the City and the Virginia Department of Transportation to provide funding for various transportation projects in the City, and (vi) introduce and vote on a resolution approving of the City’s participation in the proposed settlement of opioid-related claims against Kroger, and their related corporate entities.

WHEN:          Monday, July 1, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. (The regularly scheduled Organizational Development Standing Committee meeting, scheduled for the same date and time, will take place at the conclusion of the special meeting.)
